The Ultimate Super Smash Bros Melee Guide

Here's one fun and popular game. It's for the Gamecube and it's called Super Smash Bros Melee. First of all, you'd like to unlock characters first. For those of you who just got the game, let me tell you different ways to get hidden characters. Of course, the characters you start out with are Mario, Link, Bowser, Pikachu, Yoshi, Zelda, Kirby (>'.')>, Samus, Peach, Fox, DK, Captain Falcon, Ice Climbers, and Ness.

1) To get Jigglypuff, do classic mode on easy, with any character you'd like. You face various characters and minigames. Afterwards, if you beat it, you'll be forced to battle a character called Jigglypuff. If you beat it, you may use it any time you'd like!

2) To get Ganondorf, you go to single player, and then click event match. Just do what they tell you to. When you reach event number 28, you'll be using Link, and you'll be teamed up with Zelda. If you beat Ganondorf, you'll face him off a second time, but alone. Beat him and you get to use him any time you feel like.

3) To get a character called Young Link, go to Classic mode, any difficulty you feel like. You must finish it with Zelda, Link, and 8 more times with any other character in a row. You can't repeat the same character a second time. After you beat it the tenth time, you'll use your last character to battle Young Link. Beat him, and you get him!

4) Pichu is a cute little character, and to get him, go to event matches, and go all the way until you reach the event match called Legendary Pokemon. You'll have to fight really strong wireframes and a Jigglypuff. The only help you get are pokeballs, and in every ball, there's either a legendary pokemon to help you, or you'll get a wabufet. If you beat all of them, you'll battle Pichu. If you win, you can use him anytime you want to!

5) Here's a different idea, let me tell you, to unlock the most popular stage of all, Final Destination, you have to beat every single event match. That's right, Every single one! After beating Events 1-50, you'll unlock event match 51, which is really difficult. You must defeat the team of Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo, I'll tell you how to unlock Mewtwo later. After beating it, you'll get the stage Final Destination, which is a large, flat stage.

6) To get Dr. Mario, you have to use Mario, and play adventure mode with him. Beat it without losing lives, and you'll battle Dr. Mario. Afterwards, you'll battle him and you get him!

7) To get Luigi, you have to do adventure mode, with any character you feel like. You have to have really good timing. Go towards the end of the Mushroom Kingdom stage. Wait at the end! Do not cross the finish line. Wait until there is a 2 at the end of the timer, such as 5:52:06
You have to have a two as the seconds number. Doing that will create a scene where Luigi pushes Mario off the castle. :) Finish adventure mode after that, you get to battle Luigi, and just beat him. Now you get to use him!

8) To get Falco, you have to go to single player, then to Stadium, then to Multi-Man Melee. Click on the 100 man Melee. You have to choose one character that you already have, and then use it to battle 100 weak wireframes straight. NO stopping. After beating it, you have to fight Falco. Beat him, and you get to use him anytime you want!

9) To get Marth, you must use all 14 characters, the ones I named at the very beginning that you start with, in classic mode. Beat classic with all of them without any continues. Afterwards, if you finish, you'll battle Marth and if you beat him, you can use him!

10) To get Roy, you have to do Classic Mode on any difficulty setting as the character Marth. If you already unlocked Jigglypuff, and you don't lose any lives, and beat it, you battle Roy. Beat him, and get him.

11) To get Mewtwo, you'll get some secret stages along the way. You'll have to do 700 vs. matches with either a computer, or with a friend. You can always plug in two controllers and use one character and make him jump off. That way, it'll pass by quicker. Tip: Give everyone 1 life, go to the DK stage with running water, and keep on jumping off. After 50 vs. battles, you'll get Brinstar Depths as a stage. After 100 vs. battles, you'll get Fourside. After 150 battles, you'll get Big Blue as a stage. After 200 vs. battles, you'll get Poke Floats. After the 700th battle, you'll battle Mewtwo. Kill him, and get him!

12) To get Mr. Game & Watch, you have to beat adventure mode with all of these characters, including secret ones (not secrets anymore) and battle Mr. Game & Watch. Beat him to get him!

Stages

Besides the ones I already told you how to get, I'll tell you how to unlock other ones. By the Way, after getting Mr. Game & Watch, a new mode will be unlocked, called All Star.

1) To get Flatzone, you have to use Mr. Game & Watch in classic. Don't lose any lives or continues, and you get the stage.

2) To get Battlefield, as a stage, beat All-Star on any difficulties, without any continues, and you get Battlefield!

3)To get Mushroom Kingdom I, you have to... I think it was beat adventure mode without losing any lives but I'm not sure. Sorry about that.

4) To get Mushroom Kingdom II, you have to continue to use coins at the lottery until you get The trophy of Birdo. Once you do, you get Mushroom Kingdom II as a stage.

5) To get Kongo Beat, you have to beat 15 minute Melee, against wireframes 15 minutes straight without losing any lives. Good luck!
